This is a father figure, a kind man with a calm manner and quiet power, someone who is balanced in all areas, stable.
Reversed, it shows a two-faced man who can be violent, a double crosser, not respectable.
Queen of Cups:
A protective (on the line of over-protective) mother figure who will help as long as it is not too much trouble. Someone who is gentle and has good insight.
Reversed, it means someone who is passive, too over-protective (smothering)with too much imagination.
Knight of Cups:
There is an opportunity knocking on your door. Creativity and inspiration are indicated.
When it is reversed, it is considered a warning of a trick or fraud, competition.
Page of Cups:
A helpful, intense, artistic child is indicated, either a birth or a child that will bring happiness. In can also indicate a trusting and trustworthy person.
If it is reversed, then it shows a deception or unpleasant surprise of some kind.
10 of Cups:
This means all is well in your domestic affairs, home, family, happiness, peace, respect.
When it is reversed, it represents sadness or disappointment, or a loss of a friendship or relationship.
9 of Cups:
Success is yours, wishes are fulfilled and you are satisfied with how things are going.
Reversed, it reveals deprivation, possible illness, things are not going well, you are too smug or self-indulgent.
8 of Cups:
This represents a search for new paths, a turning toward the spiritual and away from the materialistic, disappointment in love.
If it is reversed, it shows a search for love, joy. It also can mean responsibilities are ignored and rejected.
7 of Cups:
This reveals an overactive imagination, having your head in the clouds, indecision, illusion, dreams. It may also represent positivity, mystical experiences.
When reversed, this card means action, determination, a strong willed person.
6 of Cups:
This represents innocence, times gone by, the past, memories, youthful idealism.
When reversed it means plans may soon come into fruition (or may fail, depending on the cards around it), the future, things to come.
5 of Cups:
There is despair, disappointment, sorrow, a relationship is likely to end. But, do not give up hope! Try to be positive and look for the silver lining.
When it is reversed, it indicates the courage and ability to overcome obstacles. There may be new or renewed alliances.
4 of Cups:
Discontentment, there is a need for solitude, introspection, self-awareness. It can also indicate self-involvement, a disregard for materialism.
Reversed, it reveals new relationships, new possibilities, taking action.
3 of Cups:
This shows there is good fortune, fulfillment, harmony, and healing in the works. There may be a celebration of some kind.
This means a delay of good fortune, overindulgence, or loss of abundance or happiness, skills are unappreciated (or hidden for some reason).
2 of Cups:
This represents balance and relationships (friendships, love, or partnerships), cooperation, harmony, a coming together to make things complete and whole.
If it is reversed, then this shows misunderstandings, feelings changing (love becoming hate), violence, an imbalance.
